Centre, the Unique Centre for Ayurveda, Yoga & Meditation is established in 1997 by Dr.V.Franklin, formerly medical officer of Government of Kerala.
The centre is located at Chowara just 21km away from the Trivandrum International Airport.

Dr.V.Franklin founder of Dr. Franklin’s Panchakarma Institute and Research Centre (A Unit of Ribis Health Care Pvt Ltd), Chowara, is hailing from a family of Ayurvedic
treatment field for more than 400 years . Besides from his hereditary background, an academically qualified physician, holding bachelors degree from the University of Kerala and Post Graduate Diploma holder in physical medicine and rehabilitation from the Bombay University. Recruited in Kerala Government service as a medical officer,in the Ayurvedic system of medicines. After leaving the Government service voluntarily, worked as a physiotherapist for the Qatar Rayyan Foot Ball
team.

Dr.V.Franklin (Chief Physician)
and Dr.Sony Joseph (Managing

Pharmacy
The medicines which are used for treatment is specially
prepared in own pharmacy maintains high quality standards.
Smoking and drinking alcohol, beer with in the premises is
strictly prohibited.

Being a genuine treatment centre we assert great importance for the intake of proper food items by the patients under treatment. After the first detailed consultation, our Doctors will chart per day treatment programme and an Ayurvedic vegetarian diet plan to follow during the treatment days. Pizhichil
: Lukewarm herbal oils are dripped all over the body in a
rhythmic way.

Uthara Vasthi
: Herbal oils herbal extracts are applied through the Uro-genital tract.

Vasthi (Bhramana, Mathra, Sneha, Kashaya) :Certain herbal oils,
herbal extracts etc. are applied through the rectum.

- Sirovasthi :
Special herbal oils are poured in a cap fitted on the head

Abhyagam :
In this treatment gentle oil massage is given according to the disease for
45 - minutes Indications
Obesity, lack of blood circulations etc.

Snehapanam :
Medicated ghee is given internally in a proportionally increased quantity for period of 3-7 days (Preparatory process for doing Panchakarma)
- Anjanam:
Collyrium is applied in eyes after proper cleaning.

- Kizhi :
Herbal leaves, herbs, herbal powders, flesh of animals etc., are applied to the whole body in boluses.

Gnavarakizhi
: It is a process by which the whole body or any specific part there of is made to perspire by the application of certain medicinal puddings externally in the form of boluses tied up in a muslin bag.

Udvarthanam :
This is a typical massage with herbal powders

Nasyam : This is one of the important treatment in Panchakarma in which herbal juices, medical oils etc are applied through nose.
- Greeva
Bhandhanam: This is very special bandage along with medicines for muscular and orthopaedic problems.

Dhara Thyla, Thakra, Ksheera
Some herbal oils, medicated milk, medicated butter milk etc are poured on the forehead in a special way for about 45 minutes.
- Lepam (Anna, Siro, Sirajala)
Special medical herbs are made into paste and is applied on the body or part of body for 20 – 90 minutes.
